Custom designed ring inspired by fern plant at rattlesnake ledge
--Took picture on iphone
--Drew out fern from iphone onto tissue paper
--Taped the tissue paper up to computer screen
--Sketched the design in Autodesk Fusion360 by following the drawing on the tissue paper
--Modified in Meshmixer, saved and exported as .STL file
--Sent .STL file to Formlabs Form 3 printer
--Printed the design in Castable Wax Resin
--Took was resin rings to casting house in jewelery district
--Casting house casted it in silver
--Done
This was really fun. Not super efficient. Learned a lot thru the failures like learning which 3D features did not get casted well because they're too small, or figuring out how buying gold works, or finding the casting house office in a building with 100 identical offices, or not losing all breath walking up big circular rock stairways because the elevator line is 30 people deep
